Rebar Location and Mapping

Using Elcometer concrete inspection equipment we can quickly and accurately measure the orientation and the depth of cover over reinforcement bars as part of our underground services survey.

3D Services Models

Detectable underground services are modelled either as 3D AutoCAD drawings or Revit models. Accessible underground and above ground services are laser scanned and a model produced from the point cloud.

Requirements and Logistical Issues

We were asked to provide a line and level survey of a Thames Water Trunk Sewer that passed diagonally under the proposed development site. The logistics of the operation were complex due to a number of reasons – the first being the access points within the middle of the highway – and the second being the depth of the pipe which was circa 15m deep.
