3D models of existing sites, buildings and detectable underground services.
Laser Surveys BIM team can produce a range of 3D data for inclusion in the BIM process from project inception to post-handover.
Measured Surveys
Site Surveys: Existing site topography is modelled in Revit for easy inclusion with Consultants own BIM Models.
Measured Building Surveys: Existing buildings are modelled and can be used to develop the design, for presentation purposes and as the basis for Working Drawings.
Context Models
Site massing models include adjacent features and buildings as simple blocks and masses.
Rights of light surveys provide 3D representations of adjacent buildings with existing structural openings accurately shown. Roof profiles and projections are modelled to give a true representation of the existing environs.
Underground Models
Geological models by the British Geological Survey are available. The BGS can also produce a detailed report to accompany the model.
Detectable underground services are modelled either as 3D AutoCAD drawings or Revit models.
Accessible underground services are laser scanned and a model produced from the point cloud.
Point Clouds
Point Clouds give detailed survey information that can be used directly in many software packages. They are produced from tripod mounted scanners or from UAV’s (drones).
We provide our clients with software that allows the survey to be viewed and dimensions taken on a tablet or mobile phone.
2D to 3D Conversion
Existing 2D drawings are converted into 3D Revit models. Additional survey data may be required to complete the process, which our own survey teams can provide.
Engineering drawings are converted into a 3D Revit model for spatial coordination with other consultants.
