However complex your drainage system our surveyors provide the most comprehensive CCTV Drain Survey service available.
Historically this has been a ‘stand alone’ service provided by drain cleaning companies. Our background as Land Surveyors and Geomatics Engineers has enabled us to be the first company of our kind to combine sewer surveys with all the other survey disciplines (land survey - building survey - underground services survey) necessary at the pre contract stage to enable the successful development of a site. Our ‘one stop shop’ approach provides cost and time benefits to the client together with one point of contact for all survey work. For all these services we will give you a fixed price quotation.
The CCTV integrity survey of your drainage system includes for:
For large diameter pipes above 1.5m or box culverts we provide a precise survey solution by 'man entry'. This method enables the survey of alignment and level data.

All of our drainage surveyors hold CSCS Cards, are CRB checked and hold Certificates for Confined Space Entry, OS19 Pipe & Sewer Classification, Chapter 8 Signing, Guarding and Lighting, First Aid and Manual Handling.

High Pressure Jet Cleaning
To ensure that the CCTV filming is of good quality and all defects/blockages in the drainage runs are identified at time of survey it may be necessary to jet clean the pipework prior to filming.
We work closely with Hydro Cleansing Limited, whose Head Office is in Croydon, and has Depots throughout the South East. Their 'state of the art' combination tankers., supervised by us, provide the necessary high quality cleaning and collection of arisings necessary to provide a first class drainage integrity survey.
The combination tankers enable high pressure, high volume jetting plus powered vacuum tankering. High pressure jet cleaning the drainage runs and removing silt and debris from deep soakaways, culverts, wet wells, digesters, cesspits, septic tanks, interceptors and klargesters.
Cleaning with a trailer-mounted jetter is a cheaper option but is only practical in domestic situations for pipe sizes up to 150mm diameter where it is not necessary to dispose of the debris, only move it from one place to another. Also the limited water capacity of a trailer mounted jetter precludes it's use on larger sites.
Environmental legislation demands that silt and debris removed from drainage systems must be disposed of using a recognised waste management system and to a licensed facility. This process is documented to protect our clients and ourselves, and to ensure that all waste removed from a site/premises has been disposed of within the legal requirements.
We provide quotations for CCTV Drainage Integrity Surveys on a fixed priced basis and we provide a day rate for high pressure jet cleaning. Our survey teams work on-site with the jetting engineers and ensure that the pipework is cleaned adequately for filming. We will give an indication of the time and cost for jet cleaning plus the cost of the disposal of the arisings. This can only be an estimate as we have no knowledge of the drain condition prior to the contract and the type of contaminants that may be present in the drainage system. Waste disposal certificates are provided on completion of each contract for record purposes and your, and our, obligations to 'Duty of Care'.
All CCTV surveyors and jetting engineers hold Confined Space Entry Certificates and Method Statements and Risk Assessments are provided before site attendance.
