Operations
Our “state
of the art” camera equipment, both crawler-mounted and manual
are operated from specially equipped vehicles fitted out with
viewing console, power generation unit, safety equipment and radiodetection
systems. Sewer surveys are carried out by passing a crawler-mounted
or manual colour video camera down the length of drain to be surveyed
and its progress is monitored on the vehicle mounted console.
Pipe defects can then be inspected in detail. Each camera is equipped
with a transmitter (sonde) to enable its precise position to be
plotted and surveyed above ground. Should it be necessary our
survey teams are equipped to jet clean the drainage systems prior
to survey. On completion of the site work the client is provided
with a report to Water Industry Standards, in either hard copy
or on disk, colour vhs video and photographic “stills”
highlighting the problem areas.
